J. David Muyskens


J. David Muyskens, a retired minister of the Reformed Church in America and a seminary teacher of spirituality, holds a Doctor of Ministry degree and a Theology of Ministry degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. He served as pastor of three churches in New Jersey and was adjunct professor of spirituality at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey.

Muyskens has been a spiritual director since 1991 and is a graduate of the Spiritual Guidance Program of Shalem Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. He has practiced Centering Prayer daily since 1993 and has facilitated a Centering Prayer group since 2001.

Reverend Muyskens has authored several books and numerous articles. He is married, has a son, two daughters, and five grandchildren. His interests include genealogy and wood carving.
