Nell E. Noonan
Nell E. Noonan served in church educational ministry for over 30 years and also worked in public, school, and university libraries. She holds master’s degrees in religious education and library science, as well as a Doctor of Ministry in biblical studies.
Nell is the author of the devotional books Not Alone: Encouragement for Caregivers and The Struggles of Caregiving: 28 Days of Prayer. These books are all based on her experiences as her husband’s caregiver. His many years of suffering ended with his death in April 2012, and Nell moved from Texas to Durham, North Carolina, to be near family. Her next book, A Widow’s Prayer: Finding God’s Grace in the Days Ahead, will be released in Fall 2015. In this book, Nell relates the grieving process that stretches to years following her husband’s death. In the midst of grief, she finds support, strength and hope in God and her family.
She is also the author of Meditations for Church School Teachers.
Nell is a mother of two sons and one step-daughter, grandmother to ten children, and great-grandmother to two little boys. Molly, a rescue dog, remains her faithful companion.
